Lloyd George goes green
with Asian fund launch
Lloyd George Management
has unveiled the Dublinbased
Asian Green Fund
managed by MF Tang.
Tang, a director and
founding partner of Lloyd
George Management, is
also manager of the LG
Asian Natural Resources
Fund.
He said the new fund
aims to generate returns
through investing in companies
in the Asia Pacific
region that try to make
“more efficient use of the
earth’s resources”.
It invests in three areas
– green energy, green
technology and manufacturing,
and green practices.

Schroders offers emerging
markets commodities fund

Schroders is offering investors
a chance to gain exposure
to the global commodities
boom with a new
emerging markets commodity
fund.
The Luxembourg-domiciled
ISF Global Emerging
Market Equity Commodity
Fund will invest solely in
emerging market commodity
stocks.
Schroders said it
believed it was the only
fund of its type on the
market.
An onshore Korean version
of the fund was
launched by Schroders on
8 April.
This had raised $50m by
27 June, at which point it
was up about 6.7% in US
dollar terms and 1.3%
